Marxist thoughts - A synopsis

Marxist thoughts - A synopsis

Here I am attempting to bring Marxist philosophy in brief and simple points .

1 Studying laws of development of nature and human society - based on German philosopher
Hegel's dialectics and Feuerbach's materialism a genuine scientific theory was developed
by Karl Marx and Engels which was later known  as Dialectic materialism or simply Marxism.
(The German Ideology - Marx and Engels)

2 Dialectics - Contradictory process between opposing sides. Father of this theory is 19th century
   German Philosopher G W F Hegel.

3 Historical Materialism -  Material production for human use and society moves through the modes
of production. History of human civilization is determined by relations between productive forces.
Prehistoric stage (or tribal), ancient society, feudalism and capitalism. The history of hitherto society
is the history of class struggles.

4 Communist manifesto - Dealt with development of society in historical perspective and gave solutions
for removal of contradictions due to the progress of society. Major reform would be in realm of abolition
of all private property in a gradual manner and revolution of proletariat (working class) will achieve
the means of production. As private property is abolished, system of marriages will no longer be
required and children will be educated by the commune.

5 Communism is the philosophy of conditions for uplifting of the working class or proletariat in society.
By uniting and enlightening the proletariat, the communist society will be established. The proletariat
is that class of society which lives exclusively by its labor.

6  Religions - Communism is the stage of development where all existing religions
    will be superfluous and superseded.

7 Surplus labour is the only source of capital - In his famous book 'Das Capital' Marx contends that
unpaid labour or surplus produced by the labour classes is the only source for accumulation of
capital in the hands of Capitalists. By using some complicated formulas Marx establishes that
this surplus capital belongs only to proletariat class. So he says this uncompensated wealth produced by the proletariat class
belongs to the whole society and not to the capitalists.

                                                                                      To be improvised .....
