Fiction based view      In his famous book "Sapiens"Yuval argues that main reason for humanity's progress is its ability to create stories. Religions, nationalisms, money based economies and joint stock corporations are all behind tbe success of humans. Humans cooperate and coexist in large numbers unlike animals which cannot live in large numbers. No doubt this is a new and creative way of interpreting reasons for human progress.Yuval says that every concept that facilitated humans to cooperate each other in big numbers are all based on fiction or stories.       Nations, money based economic models, corporate entities are really products of imaginations is agreeable to a large extent. Even in the case of religions, when it is a broadbased view, it is an acceptable point in my opinion. Sapiens book - A Complete view of human journey by Yuval Noah Harari            "Sapiens - A brief history of humankind " is really THE BOOK to read these days. Authored by a Jewish Historian and University Professor Yuval Noah Harari, it certainly is one of the important books of our times about humanity's journey right from the days of stone age to the days of Internet and Artificial intelligence.   Agricultural revolution            Though the book contains all aspects of humanity's progress thus far, I am going to discuss here only some of the aspects which I consider new and novel in the book. Hey Jude - Never before emotional connect                                 You don't get to watch many movies that can get you immersed fully into it. 'Hey jude' got me hooked to it right from the beginning to end. Emotionally it got me so attached that a lump in my throat never left me even after I finished watching it. The movie is directed by Shyamaprasad and the lead characters are played by Nivin pauly and Trisha. Though I knew about Nivin Pauly before watching this film but I did not know it was him who played main role in the movie. I realized why he is rated so high. About Trisha, this was her debut movie in the mallu cine field and this is one of her best in her long film career.          Some times it so happens that there are no big reasons why we get connected emotionally to a story line. Review: Zorba the Greek – An Unforgettable Ride on Crete Island Zorba the Greek is a novel written by Nikos Kazantzakis. It is a story about the journey of two individuals with contrasting personalities who become very close during the course of their lives. One is a young bookworm, and the other is an older, adventurous man named Zorba; these two are the central characters of the story. As the character of Zorba unfolds, I felt that this man thinks, behaves, and talks very much like Osho. Interestingly, Osho has spoken a lot about Zorba. Osho says that Zorba is the foundation needed to reach Buddhahood. He explains that without this foundation, one cannot build the palace called Buddha, and he envisioned the "new man" to be just like Zorba. In many places while reading this novel, I felt as if I were reading one of Osho's books.
