Eternal optimism  ( Written in context of Epstein file revelations ) Is it possible to be  positive, after  All that is happening  Around the world  asked a friend. Knowing why it is Directed at me,  Prepared myself to Reply suitably. Readymade answer  Would be, humanity  Moves forward always Never moves backwards  Reached this far, from Barbaric stone age  Upto now. In some, primitive traits Would never fade away. True. Still the majority is civil And sober and only a very  few work and act with the likes Of Epstein -  It gives one a feeling  Of despair about future  No denying the despondency Human History is replete With all such kinds of demons This is Nothing new  All hope is not lost Better future lies ahead These things come to light Itself a progress  Let's hope and pray We shall defeat all satanic Elements within us To make the world safer And better for all. Miniature universe One large fusion...

The Price of Ideological Rigidity: A Critique of the Indian Left The history of the Indian Left is a record of consistent misalignment with the national pulse. For decades, the movement has allowed "High Doctrine" to trump practical reality, resulting in a series of strategic failures that have alienated them from the very masses they claim to represent. 1. The 1942 Betrayal and the Failure of M.N. Roy The roots of this alienation lie in the Quit India Movement of 1942. While the nation rose against British rule, the Left—following international directives from Moscow—chose to support the British war effort. By ignoring the pragmatic dissent of thinkers like M.N. Roy, who understood the local reality better than distant Comintern leaders, the Left branded itself as a movement that placed external orders above national aspirations. This was the first major instance of "opposing the British blindly" only when it served an international, rather than Indian, agenda. 2. ...

Gurdjieff book - some points to note Gurdjieff's warnings about breathing were quite stern, primarily because he viewed the human body as a complex "chemical factory." He believed that interfering with one part of the machine (the breath) without understanding how it affected the other parts (the nervous system and digestion) was like a child playing with a high-voltage engine. Here is the elaboration on the specific techniques and the dangers he highlighted: 1. The Danger of "Artificial" Rhythms Gurdjieff warned against any practice that forced the breath into a specific count (like breathing in for 4, holding for 16, and out for 8) if done mechanically. The Risk: He believed that the body has its own natural intelligence. When you impose an artificial rhythm, you "desynchronize" the lungs from the heart and the stomach. The Result: He claimed this could lead to permanent damage to the nervous system, heart palpitations, and even "mental derangem...

The Positive Spectrum of Leftist Thought 1. The Dignity of Labour For the first time in human history, the "ordinary person" moved from the periphery to the center of the narrative. Before this shift, history was merely the story of kings, conquerors, and deities. Leftist thought introduced the revolutionary idea that human labour is the primary driver of value. This sparked a global dialogue on the rights, safety, and dignity of the working class, transforming the worker from a "tool" into a stakeholder. 2. The Industrial Revolution and Marxism Marxism did not emerge in a vacuum; it was a direct response to the brutal conditions of the Industrial Revolution. While the revolution provided the machinery for progress, Marxism provided the moral and legal friction necessary to ensure that progress wasn't built entirely on exploitation. We can argue that the eight-hour workday, the end of child labour, and workplace safety laws are the "dividends" Ma...

Life: Just Existence or Something More? Reflections on Patrick Levy’s Sadhus: Going Beyond the Dreadlocks (Tamil Translation: துறவி by Sathyananthan ) " You are not the body, you are not bound; you are forever free, you are awareness itself." ASHTAVAKRA SAMHITHA This early dawn, A spark flashed in my mind As I read a book on hermits. Oh, why do we exist? Is it just for the sake of it? Isn’t there more? To truly be alive is basic; Knowing the inner conscious core is next. Becoming spiritually aware, With a perpetual focus on that state of mind, And realizing the oneness of the soul— That supreme energy that drives us all. Is knowing this enough? Delving deeper and deeper, There comes a point Where thoughts merge And the state of the True Self dawns. There is no looking back then as we integrate; An assimilation of the soul happens, Fusing the psychic and emotional into oneness. The spiritual purpose is realized, The cycle of life becomes complete. Going beyond birth and death,...

A monumental biography containing profound life lessons. It likely served as the inspiration for the character of Zorba the Greek in Nikos Kazantzakis’s famous novel. An account of Gurdjieff’s adventurous life and his relentless quest for the ultimate truth. Introduced to me by Osho, who often spoke as if he wished to live with the same audacity as Gurdjieff. An unforgettable summary of a remarkable life. Regarding a sequel: The book leaves the reader longing for a second part, as it primarily focuses on Gurdjieff's youth. It is a mystery why his 19th-century travels are so vivid here, while his later life seems less accessible in this narrative style. The Persian Fakir’s Wisdom: A crucial takeaway involves a Fakir in Persia who discussed breathing, yoga, and eating. He warned that if we don't chew properly or if we eat food that is too "easy," the digestive system becomes weak and lazy. Most importantly, he noted that breathing exercises are dangerous without the gui...

Yuval Noah Harari's "Nexus" -  points to ponder - 2 Following my previous review, here are more critical insights from Yuval Harari’s Nexus, a book that dissects the information revolution and its impact on our future. 1. The Divide Between Science and Religion Harari highlights that science thrives because of its self-correcting mechanisms. Academic results are subject to rigorous peer review and constant scrutiny. Religions, however, lack such a framework. Even when errors are admitted centuries later, religious institutions tend to blame individuals rather than the system itself. While the Christian Church has occasionally acknowledged its follies after being confronted by scientific evidence, many other mainstream religions refuse to acknowledge mistakes by any authority whatsoever. In contrast, science allows—and encourages—criticism of the system itself. Religious doctrines are often treated as sacrosanct: unquestionable and unalterable. Interestingly, Harari notes ...

(The Power of Information Networks)

Yuval Noah Harari's "Nexus" - points to ponder   Yuval Noah Harari’s recent book, Nexus, explores the history of human communication. As a renowned historian, Harari provides a sweeping narrative of how humanity evolved from the early days of the telegraph to the present information revolution. The Power of Information Networks Large-scale information networks are the primary reason for human success. Homo sapiens created powerful structures through imagination—not just machines, but religions and ideologies. However, Harari notes that these often bring unintended consequences; religions, for instance, have sometimes flooded the world with blood instead of the intended love and joy. As humans shared more information, living standards generally improved. For example, a child's survival rate beyond age 15 was only 50% in Germany in 1797; today, it is 99.5% (with a world average of 96.5%). While technology has granted us unprecedented access—every smartphone contains mo...

Collection of spiritual thoughts  This collection is not a work of academic theory,  but a record of a lifelong inquiry.     Since my childhood, the awareness of our shared mortality has been the "traversing influencer" of my path.        I have spent decades exploring the tension between the transient world and the indestructible reality that underlies it.          These verses trace a map: from the realization of Oneness to the practical mastery of the Breath, and from the historical struggles of the Dhamma to the ultimate liberation found in Yogic practice.      It is my hope that these words serve as a "Pleasure Pot"—a vessel of peace for those who are still seeking a way to bliss in life.. LIFE This early dawn  Flashed a spark in mind As I read a book on hermits Oh! Why do we exist Just for the heck of it ? Isn't there more ...
